Recently, a video of him, surfacing on the internet in which he can be seen speaking up on how nepotism can co-exist. He also stressed upon how the whole film industry would collapse if talented actors are not encouraged.

Sharing the same video on his official Twitter handle, Prakash Raj wrote, “#nepotism I have lived through this .. I have survived … my wounds are deeper than my flesh ..but this child #SushanthSinghRajput couldn’t.. will WE learn .. will WE really stand up and not let such dreams die .. #justasking (Sic).”

The video shows Sushant being asked to share his thoughts on nepotism at an IIFA event in 2017. The actor says, “Nepotism is there, it’s everywhere. I can’t do anything about it. Nepotism can co-exist and nothing would happen. But at the same time, if you deliberately don’t allow right talents to come up, then there is a problem, then the whole structure of the industry would collapse one day.”

Earlier, in an interview with The Hindu, Sushant said, “People think that TV actors can’t be as convincing as film actors but it is not a fact, just a stereotype. They can also be good actors and should not be taken for granted. They can be as plausible.”

Sushant also tweeted on nepotism in the industry. The actor said that favouritism exists in all the industries. “I wanted to convey that it might be good for an individual but dangerous for the industry.”

He underlined the fact that he has made it without a godfather. “I never wanted one. I have come through the audition route. As long as one knows how to do his job properly, nobody requires a godfather in the industry,’ he was reported as saying by The Hindu.
