Ekta Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding continues to dominate at the box office by crossing Rs 75 crore mark in its second week.
Veere Di Wedding, which was released on June 1, opened to mixed reviews from the fans and critics. However, this chick flick has been certainly loved by the urban audiences which has helped the film to bring in more views in cinema houses.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film’s business on his social media handles. The film earned Rs 1.87 crore on its second Wednesday thus taking the total collections of the film to Rs 75.53 crore.
Interestingly, the film which marks the comeback of Kareena Kapoor Khan after two years, has been going strong since day one despite major competition from multiple films like Raazi, Parmanu and 102 Not Out. The film is now among the top grossing Hindi films of 2018 and even had one of the best opening weeks after films like Padmaavat, Baaghi 2 and Raid.
Now the crucial point for the film arrives as at the conclusion of week two’s box office collections are important for the film as it will decide the film’s lifetime business at the box office before the release of the Salman Khan starrer, Race 3.
Nonetheless, this chick flick has managed to score big time at the box office not just in India but in the overseas market as well.
