The celebrated actor confessed that taking a hiatus from acting had initially made him anxious about his return. With 33 years of experience in the film industry, the prospect of making a comeback after such a significant break naturally brought about nervousness. Reflecting on this period, Khan shared, “It’s new because I have been working for 33 years, and you take such a big gap. Normally, you get a little nervous and you feel that, ‘I hope I’ve got the film right’.”

Opening up about his thought process during this hiatus, Khan revealed, “Before that, there were some of my films that didn’t do well, and so I thought I’m not making good films.” The megastar acknowledged the impact of his past work on his self-perception, expressing doubts about the quality of his films.
However, Khan emphasized that the overwhelming love and support he received for ‘Pathaan,’ ‘Jawan,’ and ‘Dunki’ from his fans played a pivotal role in boosting his confidence. He credited the audience, both in India and beyond, for embracing him with such warmth, going beyond mere film success. “I think this whole country and people outside this country from India have actually taken me to their heart more than the films,” he said.
