The film had a phenomenal opening weekend and proved that why you don’t need to rely on anything when you have Salman in the film. The superstar’s stardom is unmatchable as it was witnessed in cinema houses as audiences were going crazy for their beloved bhaijaan.
Going by the numbers Race 3 had the best opening weekend in terms of analysing the collections from Friday–Sunday, the film has now set multiple records at the box office in just three days of its release.
Salman’s latest is also at the second place in the biggest opening weekends of 2018 after Padmaavat, which had an extended weekend and collected Rs 114 crore in the first five days. Race 3 is now the elite member of the Rs 100-crore club of 2018 with Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2 and Raazi.
Talking about the man who believes in going on toe to toe with himself, Salman, this is his fourth film to gross Rs 100 crore in just three days. The other films being; Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Also, this is his record 13th consecutive Rs 100-crore film starting from Dabangg (2010) till now.
Well, the buzz surrounding the film is finally over and records have been made by Race 3. However, the film’s collection in the weekdays will be an interesting thing to notice. As of now, the highest grossing film of 2018 is Padmaavat, which collected Rs 300 crore in its 75-day run in cinema houses. To surpass the collections of Padmaavat, the Salman-starrer has two weeks from now with no competition ahead.
