Being a celebrity is not an easy job as you have your own fair share of controversies. Actor Jacqueline Fernandez is the latest celeb from B-Town who has found herself in soup.
Jacqueline, along with Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor, was promoting their upcoming film, Race 3, on a reality TV show when tried to hug a young boy after much insistence from her co-star Salman. Although it sounds like a sweet gesture but that was not how the Netizens took it. People started trolling Jacqueline for “forcing her will to hug a young boy without his consent”.
Jacqueline also shared a picture of the moment on her social media handles and wrote: “Kids usually love me, this boy was an exception.. at least I got my hug in the end #dancedeewane @beingsalmankhan @madhuridixitnene @anilskapoor”
They also targeted Jacqueline for being a celebrity and escaping from such situations easily. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Jacqueline clarified, “I know what my intention was and it wasn’t wrong. I have a nephew. He does not like to be hugged at times, but I still hug him as I am his aunt. My intentions weren’t wrong and it’s my right to believe that.”
Jacqueline also believes that celebs should understand people’s concern and said, “I feel it is important that people voice opinions. It is fantastic. Just because we are celebs, does not mean that people would stay quiet. It is not like you can do something and get away with it. It is great that people have opined and I respect that. I understand where people’s concerns are coming from.”
Well, we couldn’t agree more with Jacqueline and hopes this controversy finally comes to an end.
On the work front, Jacqueline will be seen in Race 3 opposite Salman Khan and will also be featuring in the Dharma Productions’ next Drive opposite Sushant Singh Rajput.
