Kartik Aaryan’s highly-anticipated film ‘Aashiqui 3’ is facing postponement. Moreover, reports reveal that Dimri is no more a part of the romantic saga. Following their collaboration in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ fans were excited to see the duo star opposite each other once again. Meanwhile, the exact reason behind her exit remains clouded in mystery with different accounts revealing different reasons. Notably, the actress was initially excited to be a part of the popular franchise.

On Tuesday, Mid-Day reported that Triptii Dimri was no longer going to headline ‘Aashiqui 3.’ A source told the outlet, “Triptii was excited to headline the romance, but that’s not going to happen now. Aashiqui 3 is undergoing a [title]-related dispute. So, it has been postponed indefinitely.” As per the report, the actress walked out of the project due to title-related delays. However, another report suggests that the makers dropped Dimri due to her bold scenes in ‘Animal.’ The report reveals that apparently, the makers are eying someone who can ‘reflect innocence.’

A source close to the development cited the second reason to Hindustan Times. “The fundamental requirement to be the heroine of Aashiqui 3 is innocence reflecting through, and as observed by the team behind the film. Triptii Dimri with her recent films has become too exposed to be cast in this romantic film which demands purity in demeanour from the female lead.”

Moreover, the source added that post ‘Animal,’ her public perception has changed and she doesn’t attract buzz anymore. “Aashiqui is a legendary, soulful love story and the makers do not see Tripti fitting the parameters. After Animal, there has been no buzz around her. More so, her solo standing at the box office hasn’t proven profitable with her recent films.” Meanwhile, neither Dimri nor the makers have commented on the issue. Anurag Basu is going to helm the third title of the popular romantic saga known for its chart-busting music.
