Written across the cake were the words “Gorgeous as always,” a fitting tribute to the legendary actress who has been a symbol of grace and beauty for decades. Tanuja’s legacy in the film industry is long and illustrious. Born into a family deeply rooted in the entertainment world, she is the daughter of filmmaker Kumarsen Samarth and actress Shobhna Samarth. Tanuja’s older sister, Nutan, was also a renowned actress. Tanuja made her debut in the film industry as a child artist in 1950 with ‘Hamari Beti’, a film that also featured her sister Nutan. She later transitioned to adult roles, with her big break coming in the 1960 film ‘Chhabili’, which was directed by her mother. Over the years, Tanuja has carved a name for herself as one of the most versatile and beloved actresses of Indian cinema.

Kajol, following in her mother’s footsteps, has also established a remarkable career in Bollywood. She made her debut in 1992 with ‘Bekhudi’ and rose to fame with the blockbuster hit ‘Baazigar’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Over the years, she has been part of iconic films like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, and ‘Fanaa’, among others. Her versatility as an actress has been evident in both commercial hits and critically acclaimed projects.

Recently, Kajol has continued to impress with her performances in projects like the anthology film ‘Lust Stories 2’ and the legal drama ‘The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha’. She has several exciting projects in the pipeline, including ‘Sarzameen’, ‘Do Patti’, and ‘Maharagni – Queen of Queens’.

On the personal front, Kajol is married to fellow actor Ajay Devgn. The couple, who tied the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony in 1999, have two children: a daughter, Nysa, and a son, Yug.
