Aashiqui 3 production halted, T-Series denies involvement

Kartik Aaryan was supposed to lead 'Aashiqui 3'

In a turn of events that may disappoint fans, the much-anticipated Aashiqui 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, has been confirmed as shelved by T-Series. The production company took to social media to clarify that they are not currently involved in the development or production of the film, putting an end to swirling rumors.

Taran Adarsh, a prominent film trade analyst, shared T-Series’ statement on his social media platform, formerly known as Twitter. The statement emphasized that if Aashiqui 3 were to move forward, it would be a joint effort between T-Series and Vishesh Films/Mukesh Bhatt, the original creators of the franchise. They firmly denied any speculation suggesting otherwise and clarified that their proposed project, to be directed by Anurag Basu, is not part of the Aashiqui franchise.

This revelation comes after Kartik Aaryan had shared a motion poster of Aashiqui 3 on his Instagram back in 2022, generating excitement among fans. His caption hinted at the emotional depth of the film, expressing anticipation for his collaboration with director Anurag Basu.

The Aashiqui franchise holds a special place in Bollywood history, with the original film released in 1990 and backed by T-Series and Vishesh Films. Starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, it captured audiences’ hearts with its timeless love story. In 2013, the franchise was revived with Aashiqui 2, directed by Mohit Suri and featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film was not only a critical success but also triumphed at the box office.

While Aashiqui 3 may not be in the works at the moment, fans can still cherish the legacy of the franchise and eagerly await any future developments.
