Actor Ben Affleck might have to relinquish his DCEU role as Batman, as a new, probably younger actor is expected to play the superhero. Following the rumours of Affleck’s departure, a few names have been popping up who could replace him.

Among the other actors Kit Harington’s name was also included. Speculations suggest that the 31-year-old actor, who plays the character of Jon Snow in the popular fantasy series, Game of Thrones, would put up the Batman’s cape.

However, it did not take long for the rumours to get debunked. Entertainment Weekly’s Journalist James Hibberd broke the news in a recent tweet. He wrote, “The first time Kit Harington heard about this Batman rumour is when I called his rep yesterday to ask. So no (unfortunately!)”

Well, it’s truly unfortunate that we wouldn’t witness the King in the North don a different cape this time.

Meanwhile, Affleck, who has been dealing with alcohol addiction for a long time, has headed back to rehab for treatment. The 46-year-old actor has long struggled with alcoholism.

On the other hand, Kit Harington has wrapped up shooting for the last season of Game of Thrones. The final season will premiere in 2019 and will air in India on Star World.
