Sujoy Ghosh’s Badla has surpassed the first week collection of the director’s last release, Kahaani, at the box office. The film, like Kahaani that shocked everyone with its climax, is a story of several twists and turns.
In the first week of its release, Badla earned Rs 38 crore at the box office, beating Kahaani that had garnered Rs. 23.79 crore in the first week.
Globally, the film has collected USD 2.45 million (a few territories yet to report) in its first week.Film critic and trade analyst shared the film’s business on Twitter.

Badla is a crime thriller that revolves around Taapsee Pannu’s character Naina who is stuck in a murder scandal. Amitabh Bachchan plays Badal Gupta, her lawyer, in the film.
The film also stars Amirta Singh, Manav Kaul and Tony Luke in supporting roles.
Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, the film is produced by Gauri Khan, Sunir Kheterpal and Akshay Puri.
It released on 8 March 2019.
