Ali Fazal has been open about his admiration for Sanjay Dutt right from the beginning of his career in acting. A true fan of the star, Ali was more than happy to be cast in a role much different than ones he has done before. And to show just how much he was looking forward to working with the Dutt, Ali did not even read the script of the film given to him by the original director, Dev Katta, who is also helming the remake, before signing it.

A source said, “Ali only met Deva and the team once and he was ecstatic with the role offered to him. He only heard the main gist of the story and his role and was immediately on board”.
