Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor receive Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2018

Dadasaheb Phalke Awards ceremony was a starry affair in Mumbai on Sunday (April 29) wherein who’s who of film industry turned up.

Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar won top honours at the event. Mumbai-based Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation honoured the Bollywood celebrities for their contribution towards the growth and development of Indian cinema.

It is one of the most prestigious awards in Indian cinema and is the highest recognition for film personalities in the country.

Akshay Kumar won the Best Actor award for Pad Man and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, while Sonam Kapoor won the Best Actress award for Pad Man.
