Secret Superstar actor Zaira Wasim has bagged another big role in an upcoming film, where she will be joined by Bollywood A-Lister Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra.
After impressing everyone with her performances in films like Dangal and Secret Superstar, Zaira is all set to come out with her third feature film, which will be based on the true-life story of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary.
The film will narrate the journey of Aisha from her childhood when she was diagnosed with an immunodeficiency disorder to her final years. She suffered from pulmonary fibrosis.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the cast has been finalised for Bose’s untitled next and is in the pre-production stage as of now.
Zaira will be essaying the role of Aisha while Abishek and Priyanka will essay the role of Aisha’s parents in the film.
“Zaira really liked the script and has given her nod to the project. Shonali is currently busy with the pre-production and is hoping to start shooting by the middle of this year in Mumbai. Priyanka and Abhishek will play parents to Zaira’s character,” the tabloid quoted a source as saying.
Aisha was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13 and had to undergo bone marrow transplant. She was the author of My Little Epiphanies and was named as INK Fellow and was also a speaker at TEDx Pune in 2013.
Aisha died at the age of 18 in 2015.
