‘102 Not Out’ fares decently on first Monday, collects Rs 3.20-cr

Director Umesh Shuka’s 102 Not Out is enjoying a decent run at the box office and has passed the first Monday test by collecting Rs 3.20 crore.

102 Not Out starring veterans Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor opened to an average response at the box office. But, the film’s strong word of mouth helped the film to pick up its business over the weekend and also successfully pass the crucial Monday test.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 102 Not Out earned a decent amount of Rs 3.20 crore on its fourth day despite mere decline in comparison to the opening day, the film had a relatively better first Monday at the box office in comparison to some releases of 2018.

The film, which is being appreciated by fans and critics alike for its light-hearted theme and performances, will cross the Rs 20 crore mark today (May 8) and will pursue its next challenge of the Rs 30 crore mark.

Well, it’ll be interesting to see how the film performs in the first week of its release after having a decent opening weekend and first Monday.

102 Not Out, which reunites Big B and Rishi Kapoor after almost 30 years, narrates the story of a 102-year-old man (Bachchan) and his 75-year-old son (Kapoor), and the former’s efforts to make his son go cool from old school.

Directed by Umesh Shukla, 102 Not Out, was released worldwide on May 4.
