The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has given the ‘A Double Plus’ rank to the Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University in UP.
This is the second university in the State to have received the prestigious A++ grade in NAAC assessment.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has disclosed it in a letter sent to the University on Tuesday.
So far, Lucknow University has got the maximum A++ grade among the State universities. The NAAC has completed the evaluation during its recent field visit to the University campus. A 6-member team from the NAAC had thoroughly examined all the aspects in the University and the final grading was issued on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, UP Governor, Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath have congratulated the varsity for getting the Grade A Double Plus (A++) ranking in NAAC evaluation.
Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath said in a tweet that with the blessings of the holy Shri Gorakshpeeth, this garden of knowledge (Gorakhpur University) has been illuminating the entire Purvanchal with the light of quality education and excellent values since its inception.
“This achievement is a matter of pride for all of us. Under the guidance of Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel, it is my wish that the University sets new standards of quality everyday,” CM said.
Governor Anandiben Patel too has congratulated the University employees for the feat. For the last 2 years, Patel has been continuously making special efforts on a large scale to improve the quality of education and arrangements in higher educational institutions and universities of the State.
Notably, the Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, had already received B++ NAAC grading earlier. Earlier, Lucknow University, Lucknow had been awarded A++ grade by NACC.
