Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep concern over the sorry state of affairs of higher education in the state, particularly, in Magadh and Pataliputra universities.
Responding to a query of Gaya residents, Kumar admitted that he was aware of the inordinate delay in the announcement of the results of the Magadh University examination.
“I have directed the Education Department officials to look into it. I will also talk to the Governor to take some concrete action in this regard,” he said.
Why is the academic session so late? It will hamper the career of students. It’s a serious issue. I will personally look into it,” said the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, Bihar Governor, who is the Chancellor, Fagu Chauhan, asked the Magadh university Vice Chancellor to regularise the academic session and release the results of the examinations on time. The Governor, further, expressed surprise over the inordinate delay in conducting examinations.
