Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is being touted as one of the star campaigners of the Bharatiya Janata Party, will hold a mega rally in Karnataka at Mangalore’s Nehru maidan on Tuesday.

The public rally is expected to begin at 5.30 pm and Adityanath is expected to address people for over an hour.

“UP CM Adityanath has proved to be a successful administrator who knows what his people need and is committed to providing those to them. This is what sets him apart from Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah who has just robbed the people of his state blind as his regime is steeped in corruption. Yogi ji is only exposing him on his own turf and this is why he goes weak in the knees when Yogi ji arrives in Karnataka,” Zee News quoted UP BJP spokesperson Dr Chandra Mohan as saying.

After sweeping the Tripura Assembly elections 2018, the BJP had expressed confidence in winning the Karnataka as well. However, the Congress in Karnataka had asserted that the election results in three north-eastern states will not have any bearing on the upcoming state assembly polls.

“At some places, Congress has won while in other places it has lost. The BJP leaders are unnecessarily projecting it has a big victory,” Karnataka Congress president G Parameshwara had said in a press release.

Elections are due in Karnataka in May this year.
