A 48-year-old woman today died of swine flu taking the toll due to H1N1 virus infection to 36 in the city this year.
The woman hailing from Shajapur district died during treatment at a private hospital where she was admitted 10 days ago, Asha Pandit, district in-charge of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), said.
She said that as of now 12 persons are being treated for swine flu in different hospitals in the city. Of them, condition of 11 is critical.
Pandit said 128 patents have tested positive for H1N1 since January 1 this year. Of them, 36 people have died.
The deceased include 21 from Indore and rest from other districts who had come here for treatment, she added.
