Three foreign militants and a six-year-old girl were killed in a gunfight between holed-up militants and security forces in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Wednesday.
Security forces seized three AK-47 rifles from the possession of the slain militants.
The army said the three Pakistani militants, belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba, were holed up in a house in Kalaroos area.
The gunfight started early Wednesday after the militants fired at and injured a policeman during a cordon-and-search operation in the area.
Police sources said the minor girl was fatally hit by a stray bullet at her house, about 100 metres from the gunfight spot.
