South African universities to collaborate on Yoga Sciences


Solan-based Shoolini University on Monday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two South African universities for collaboration on Yoga sciences and biodiversity.

A spokesperson of the varsity said the MoU has been signed with University of Venda (UNIVEN) Thohoyanndou and University of Limpopo, South Africa for collaborative studies and research on various aspects of sciences.

The MoU states that the South African university would collaborate on Yoga, biodiversity as well as pharmaceutical sciences and agriculture sciences.

“Our associations with South Africa’s much-coveted universities like University of Venda and University of Limpopo will help both the countries provide international exposure to the students. It would ultimately pave the way to overall growth and development in the concerned subject-matter,” he said.

He further informed that among other things, the Memorandum of Understanding is expected to enable an effective and efficient framework for the establishment of innovative alliances, by promoting student exchange, joint research, and publication.
