Himachal Pradesh state BJP president, Suresh Kashyap, on Friday launched a scathing attack on the newly elected Congress party government in the state questioning the delay in the expansion of the cabinet.

Kashyap said contrary to the claims, the delay in fulfilling the promises made to the people reflects the helplessness of the government and the party.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Kashyap said that the Congress leaders made many promises to be implemented as soon as they come to power, but it is surprising that even their cabinet has still not been finalized.

All this show the utter helplessness of the Congress leadership, that is busy with integrating their own MLAs and the decision of the cabinet is yet to be taken.

The people of the state are waiting for the formation of the cabinet, he added.
He said that thousands of people lost their livelihood with the closure of the 2 Ambuja Cement plants in Himachal. However, he said, the Congress party is busy trying to impress their high command by joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra launched by their leader Rahul Gandhi.

“In wake of the dispute of ACC and Ambuja Cement Plants, around 2,000 people’s jobs are in jeopardy and more than 4,000 trucks of transporters have come to a standstill and that all this it is not making any difference to the Congress leaders, as they are only busy with the Bharat Jodo Yatra that they joined at Rajasthan on Friday,” he alleged.

The Chief Minister and his MLAs are only making statements regarding this issue from Delhi and Rajasthan, it’s the BJP MLAs that are trying to solve this problem on the ground, he claimed.

Taking a dig at the newly elected CM he said, “the popularity graph of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is going down faster in the same way as it had rapidly risen.”

“The high tempo of the Congress government is now seen to be turning into a low tempo and there are still many groups within the Congress who are trying hard to adjust their people,” he claimed.

All the works done by the BJP government during its tenure were in the public interest, that is why the Congress government has not been able to overturn even a single decision, said Kashyap.
