Shimla hospital doctor succumbs to swine flu

A senior doctor with the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) and hospital on Sunday succumbed to swine flu.

This has raised the death toll to three including a tourist from Maharashtra at IGMC and as many as 14 tested positive for swine flu.

A senior doctor with the radiology department, he had tested positive on June 23 for swine flu and was put on ventilator support in the hospital.

“The senior doctor had earlier shown signs of improvement, however on Sunday he succumbed to death, “said IGMC senior medical Ramesh Chand.
