Punjab education minister Aruna Chaudhary on Tuesday said her government was committed to transform the educational sector to ensure that every section of society gets access to quality education.
The minister disclosed this on the occasion of distributing appointment letters to 77 candidates, dependents of deceased employees of the education department on compassionate grounds.
The minister said pioneering efforts are being made by the state government to revolutionise the educational sphere and ensure that even students from economically poor section can avail educational facilities and lay claim to future greatness. The minister exhorted all the new appointees to discharge their duty with dedication and professionalism.
Secretary, School Education, Punjab, Krishan Kumar called upon all the newly appointed candidates to set a benchmark in the annals of the department by diligently performing their duty. Seventy seven appointment letters were distributed which included 29 for the post of clerks and 38 for Class IV posts.
