The district administration of South Dinajpur has conducted its planning committee meeting with officials of all the departments from the block to the district level.
The departments have submitted their respective planning reports for the upcoming financial year.
The proposals of development works will be sent to the state and the finance department will allot fund for the district accordingly.
The District Magistrate, Sarad Kumar Dwivedi, the Sabadhipati of Zilaparishad, Lilita Tigga, all the Additional District Magistrates, Sub Disional Officers followed by the Block Development Officers in the district were present in the meeting on Thursday.
According to official sources, the administration has instructed the departments to submit their proposals to District Magistrate’s office within 31 March and it will be regarded as the draft planning proposal from all the departments.
The administration in the meantime will be putting more emphasis on rural development and will focus on infrastructural development in the villages, they claimed.
“We have instructed all the departments to submit their plans. We will get a clear picture of the upcoming development work in the district through their comprehensive report. We always have the option to execute emergency developmental projects for the district. All the departments will submit their planning within 31 March,” said the District Magistrate, Sarad Kumar Dwivedi.
