RSS worker shot dead, brother injured in UP’s Ghazipur

A Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker and journalist Rajesh Mishra was killed, while his brother was critically injured, after bike-borne unidentified assailants opened fired at them in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipura area on Saturday.

According to media reports, Rajesh (35) died on the spot, while his brother was rushed to the district hospital.

The Ghazipur police have registered a case against the unidentified assailants, according to media reports.

According to the police, the brothers were sitting in their shop, when miscreants on a motorcycle indiscriminately fired at them.

The shooting comes just four days after a senior RSS leader Ravinder Gosain was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Ludhiana.

Gosian had succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.

Gosain was returning from an RSS shakha (daily training in the early morning) and was near his house when he was attacked.

He was the Sangh Pracharak (regional missionary) at the RSS shakha in Ludhiana.
