Pharmacists allowed to sell medicines

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has said that pharmacists holding allopathic pharmacy diploma and degree would now be able to sell homeopathic medicines in the state.

He said that the decision would benefit about 15,000 pharmacists in the state who were intending to sell these medicines, but had no license for the same.

Earlier, it was mandatory to have a separate homeopathic license and experienced salesman for selling these medicines, he added.

He said that the Central Government has notified new rules to promote homeopathy medicine system in the country which have been adopted by the Food and Drugs Administration of the state government.
