Odisha Minister Usha Devi’s vanity case containing Rs 25,000 in cash, a mobile phone, ID card and other valuables was allegedly stolen by miscreants on board an express train, said police on Saturday.

The Skill Development and Technical Education Minister’s handbag was allegedly stolen while she was travelling in the Puri-Durg Intercity Express on Friday.

The Minister was on her way to Kantabanjhi from Bhubaneswar.

Usha Devi has filed a complaint with Titlagarh Government Railway Police (GRP). A probe is on, Mohan Nayak, the inspector-in-charge, said.
