Now TMC supports AAP in Delhi polls

Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday thanked West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee for extending her party’s support to AAP in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

In a post on X, Kejriwal posted, “TMC has announced support to AAP in Delhi elections. I am personally grateful to Mamta Didi. Thank you Didi, you have always supported and blessed us in our good and bad times”. Reacting to this post, senior TMC leader Derek O’ Brien wrote on X, “We have your back, Aam Aadmi Party”.

Earlier on Tuesday ,Samajwadi Party had also extended its support for the AAP in the Delhi Assembly elections and Kejriwal had thanked its chief Akhilesh Yadav for supporting the party. He posted on X, “Thank you very much Akhilesh ji. You always support and stand with us. I and the people of Delhi are grateful for this”.

The polls for all 70 assembly seats are scheduled to be held in a single phase on February 5 and the result will be announced on February 8. The ruling AAP, having secured 67 seats in 2015 and 62 in 2020, is now aiming for a third consecutive victory in the capital.
