Mumbai techie arrested for creating fake Twitter account of Sara Tendulkar

Mumbai police have arrested a software engineer Nitin Shishode from Andheri area for allegedly creating the Twitter account of SaraTendulkar, the daughter of cricket great Sachin Tendulkar.

It is being said that the techie created the fake account on microblogging site Twitter and posted objectionable comments against Sharad Pawar, the chief of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

According to the media reports, the cyber police have seized a laptop, two mobile phones, a router and other computer accessories from Nitin’s residence.

Sishode, reportedly, deals in second-hand laptops along with mobile phone. According to Times of India, he has been booked for impersonation, cheating and defamation under Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.

Earlier, a 32-year-old man was arrested nearly a month ago in West Bengal for allegedly harassing Sara over phone. The arrest was made by a joint team of Mumbai and West Bengal Police from Mahisadal area of East Midnapore district.
