Masked gunmen on Friday robbed a bank in Ratnipora area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, decamping with several lakh rupees, less than 24 hours after a similar incident in Anantnag.
The men barged into a branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Ratnipora and made away with the cash, a police official said.
Bank officials are calculating the exact amount of cash looted, he said.
Yesterday, Rs 5.39 lakh was robbed from the same bank’s Marhama branch and the culprits have been identified as Hizbul Mujahideen militants Rasik Nabi Bhat alias Owais and Salia Mohammad alias Rehaan, a police spokesman said.
