Man found dead at his rented place in North-East Delhi

The body of a man was recovered from his rented accommodation in North East Delhi’s Ambedkar Vihar area, the police said on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as 35 years old Subhash, who was residing in a house on Street No. 8 Ambedkar Vihar, Johripur, in Karawal Nagar area of North East Delhi.

The forensic and crime investigation team has carefully inspected the spot, from where the body was recovered.

No physical injury (external) marks were found in the deceased’s body, North-East Delhi DCP Dr Joy Tirkey said.

During the course of investigation the police have found that the deceased worked as a labourer.

The information regarding the incident reached police through a PCR call on Wednesday morning, where the caller informed them about the body.

However, based on the information gathered so far, a person identified as Satish Bhadana, is suspected to be involved in Subhash’s death.

It has also been found that Bhadana is the owner of the house where the victim was living on rent.

The suspect Bhadana works for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi as a sanitation worker, the police said.

However, as per police, Bhadana is absconding and efforts are being made to trace him and ascertain the facts and circumstances behind the incident.

Facts are still unclear in the incident and the suspect is absconding, the police said, adding that further investigation is in progress.
