Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been relentlessly working towards fulfilling his vision of a clean India and the launching of the campaign in the state on Prime Minister’s birthday on Sunday, would serve as a fitting tribute to the selfless service provided by him, the Chief Minister said.
“Together, we should make the effort to clean our houses, public places, villages and cities. It is not only the responsibility of the sanitation staff but all of us.
“When each member of the society join hands with the government, only then we can have a clean India that Mahatma Gandhi had envisioned”, he said.
He also called upon teachers and parents to inspire young students to practice cleanliness as a habit from the initial years.
The government is committed to protect the natural beauty of the state and its ecosystem and for that several measures have been taken, Sonowal added.
