Jai Ram promises clean governance in Himachal

Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government will ensure neat and clean administration in Himachal Pradesh.

“My government is ever open for suggestions as there was always a scope of improvement and government will welcome suggestions,” he said.

Thakur, who was on his first tour to Bilaspur and his home in Mandi district after becoming on 27 December, was given rousing reception at Namhol ahead of Bilaspur.

While addressing the gathering at Namhol, he said that the BJP will adopt its ‘Drishti Patra 2017’ as policy document of the state government.

He said that there was no dearth of zeal and enthusiasm, no stone was left unturned to make BJP candidate win, but it was a matter of chance that Randhir Sharma who contested on BJP ticket from Sri Nainadevi constituency lost the elections.

“We will miss Randhir Sharma in the Assembly this time. Though he has lost the poll, he is still a pillar of BJP and will hold say,” he said.

He said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and National BJP president, Amit Shah, state party incharge Mangal Pandey and other senior leaders of BJP contributed a lot for the massive victory of BJP. The present government will ensure neat and clean administration and welfare of the poor, he said.

Sharma earlier welcomed and honoured the CM and said that the people have given verdict to BJP and the central leadership gave responsibility to Jai Ram Thakur, who is a young and experienced leader of the state and five times MLA from Seraj constituency.

“I believe that Himachal Pradesh will forge ahead with a new vision and new initiatives. He said efforts would be made to promote tourism activities at Bahadurpur and also redress the grievances of Bhakra Dam oustees,” he said.
IPH minister, Mahender Singh Thakur, MLAs, JR Katwal and Paramjit Singh Pammi, former MLA, Rikhi Ram Kaundal Political Advisor to CM, Trilok Jamwal and Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) to CM, Mahender Dharmani and Shishu Dharma and other senior BJP leaders were also present on the occasion amongst others.
