For the third consecutive week, authorities did not allow Friday prayers at the historic Jamia Masjid in old Srinagar.
Authorities imposed restrictions in Nowhatta area disallowing prayers.
Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, senior separatist leader who delivers the Friday sermon at the Jamia Majid, tweeted that on the one hand, youths were being killed in Kashmir and on the other hand, religious rights of the people were being snatched by using force.
