After week’s of will-he-won’t-he, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh expanded his Cabinet inducting 7 more faces apart from the appointment of 6 Parliamentary Secretaries on Sunday.
State Governor, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, administered all the 7 inductees the oath of office and secrecy at a brief function at the Raj Bhawan in the morning.
Chief Minister’s new Cabinet colleages are Dhani Ram Shandil from Solan , Chander Kumar from Jawali , Harshvardhan Chauhan from Shillai , Jagat Singh Negi from Kinnaur, Rohit Thakur from Jubbal-Kotkhai , Anirudh Singh from Kasumpati and Vikramaditya Singh from Shimla rural.
Dhani Ram Shandil is the eldest one while Vikramaditya Singh, the son for former CM Virbhadra Singh, is the youngest one to be inducted in to the Cabinet.
Three ministers were inducted from district Shimla while one each from Kangra, Solan, Sirmaur and Kinnaur .
Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri, Assembly Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, HPCC President, Pratibha Singh, Co-incharge Himachal congress, Tajinder Singh Bittu, Political Advisor to Chief Minister Sunil Sharma, Principal Advisor (Media) to the Chief Minister Naresh Chauhan, MLAs and senior Civil and Police officers and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
This was followed by another brief ceremony where Chief Minister, Minister Sukhvinder Singh, administered oath to 6 Parliamentary Secretaries. They included Sunder Singh Thakur, Mohan Lal Brakta, Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Ashish Butail, Kishori Lal and Sanjay Awasthi.
Notably, after the party received the clear mandate in December last only Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took oath as Chief Minister and Mukesh Agnihotri as Deputy Chief Minister.
