“There are around 8.34 lakh unemployed in the state and as many as two lakh youth get enrolled annually for getting employment. Despite our efforts to provide jobs in the government sector, I accede to the fact that there are limitations in providing jobs in government sector. However, private sector and self-employment can a vital role in generation of employment,” he said.

He said that we had also sought for reports from different departments of the state government and these departments have prepared a blue print.

While presiding over the meeting to review the Employment Generation Targets in the state, he said that state government would frame and execute appropriate policies to facilitate investment and employment generation in all major sectors such as agriculture, tourism, industries, Power, Industries, education and health to provide more employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth of the state.
