The Cabinet on Tuesday decided to convene monsoon session of HP Vidhan Sabha from 23 to 31 August, 2018 at Shimla.
The decision to convene monsoon session was taken in Cabinet meeting held here on Tuesday evening under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and the session will have seven sittings.
A government spokesperson said the Cabinet decided to fill up 218 posts of Pharmacists batch-wise in Health and Family Welfare Department on contract basis to cope with the shortage of staff in the health institutions.
It accorded its consent to start Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojna for providing assistance of Rs 1.30 lakh to the BPL houseless family for construction of house in rural areas of the state.
The Cabinet gave its approval to start Mukhya Mantri Yuva Aajeevika Yojana, 2018 to promote self employment opportunities in the State and to provide livelihood to local youth in the age group of 18 to 40 years by encouraging local entrepreneurship.
Under the scheme, 25 percent investment subsidy for male applicant and 30 percent for female applicant upto maximum investment of Rs 30 lakh would be provided besides interest subvention for first year will be 8 percent and for subsequent years it will be reduced to two percent.
The Cabinet gave its approval to produce vaccination certificate during the admission in first standard in all government/private schools. This will ensure that all the children in the age group of five years have completed vaccination programme.
It also approved Rent a Cab Scheme, 1989 and Rent a Motor Cycle Scheme, 1997 under which Rs 40,000 per annum will be charged for renting a cab and Rs 20,000 for renting a motor cycle.
Under this scheme licence, will be issued to the interested parties having a fleet of 50 motor vehicles under Rent a Cab Scheme and minimum of five motor cycles under Rent a Motor Cycle Scheme.
The Cabinet gave its approval to allow Bahra University, Vaknaghat, district Solan to start Bachelor of Physiotherapy course as per recommendations by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, HP.
The Cabinet decided that Kargil Day will be celebrated all over the State in DCs, SDM and BDO offices. The officers should hold meetings in which Ex-Serviceman should be especially invited, visits should be made to War memorial and Shaheed Samaraks and oath should be administered.
