Haryana records all-time high paddy arrival

For the first time in the history of Haryana, the state has logged an all-time high in paddy arrivals and procure up to 30 November.

As per the figures, this season, the state has recorded highest arrival since its inception in 1966 as the state procurement agencies procured more than 58.96 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of paddy up to 30 November against 53.47 lakh MT mopped up during the entire paddy season in 2016 which was also an all-time high.

Similarly, over 70.24 lakh MT of paddy arrived in the mandis of the state against 69.56 lakh MT during the entire season last year which also the highest ever.

The Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Karan Dev Kamboj said out of the total arrival, over 11.27 lakh MT of paddy was procured by the millers in 2017.
