Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 115.42 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 10.28 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.
An official spokesperson said that cooperative sugar mill, Shahabad, has so far crushed 20.26 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.92 lakh quintals of sugar. The co-operative sugar mill in Rohtak has crushed 17.83 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.53 lakh quintals of sugar.
The spokesperson said Cooperative Sugar Mill Kaithal has crushed 12.22 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.10 lakh quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill Meham crushed 11.84 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.02 lakh quintals of sugar while Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal crushed 10.78 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 99,700 quintals of sugar.
The Gohana sugar mill has crushed lakh 9.78 quintals of sugarcane, producing 80,430 quintals of sugar, Jind sugar mill has crushed 8.56 lakh quintals and produced 74,425 quintal of sugar, Panipat sugar mill crushed 8.36 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 74,700 quintals of sugar, Sonipat sugar mill has crushed 8.06 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 72,200 quintals of sugar and Palwal sugar mill crushed 7.73 lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced 67,915 quintals of sugar, he added.
The Assandh sugar mill has crushed 11.01 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 91,200 quintals of sugar. So far, the average recovery of sugar from cooperative sugar mills has been 9.38 per cent, he said.
