Don’t criticise govt for the sake of it: Jai Ram to Congress

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday advised the Congress party leaders to not to criticize the government for sake of criticism.

“Instead they should give creative support to the government for development of Himachal Pradesh,” he said while interacting with mediapersons at Solan.

Thakur said the six-month tenure of the present government has been important in terms of development as the government has succeeded in bringing Rs 4365 crore for the development of the state from the Central government.

“The BJP government in the state is strong and would take the state to new height of development,” he said. The Chief Minister said sure and quick solution for the problems of the people was the top priority of the government and Jan Manch programme had proved predominantly helpful in the direction.

Thakur said the government had started the Jan Manch programme to address the various problems of the people near to their home.

“This programme have emerged as a powerful medium in redressing the grievances of the people and some more new efforts would be made in future to make it more effective,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that Jan Manch was a special programme and all the officers and employees of the state will have to understand the importance and usefulness of this programme.

On the occasion, National level Hockey players Poonam and Samriti also met the Chief Minister and thanked him for getting their domicile certificate.

The two players reportedly were trying to get the certificate since the last few years but their problems got resolved through the government’s Jan Manch program recently.
