Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni arrived in Shimla on Monday along with his family for 5-day sojourn in the ‘Queen of Hills’ Shimla.

Dhoni arrived at Jubbarhatti airport in a chartered plane and left for Wild Flower Hall in Charabara, around 15 km from Shimla. Dhoni along with his wife Sakshi would stay in Shimla till 31 August and he reportedly would take part in the advertisement shoot of private company.

This is Dhoni’s second visit to Shimla district and in 2004, he had participated in the cricket tournament in Rohroo area of the district.

Keeping in view the popularity of the cricketing star, the Shimla Police have made adequate arrangements for his security. Dhoni has also been declared ‘State Guest’ by the Himachal Pradesh government.

Though nothing has been revealed about Dhoni’s plans in HP, sources said he would take part ad shoot on the historic Ridge ground in Shimla on Tuesday morning.

The HP Police is reportedly planning to approach Dhoni to join the anti-drug campaign in state and it is likely that they would request him for a video message for the youth to urge them to abstain from falling prey to the menace.

It is worthwhile to mention here that earlier Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama, Bollywood stars Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher had in video appeal, urged the youth to not to indulge in drug abuse.
