Dhenkanal stresses to stop female foeticide

In the wake of female foeticide and International Women week celebration, District and Sessions Judge Pranita Mohanty urged upon people from all walks of lives to stop female foeticide and respect women as a pillar of society.

After a street play was conducted near district Civil court, District and sessions Judge made her brief speech and sought cooperation for the growth of girl child and respect women, protest against violence on women at all places and extend support for women empowerment.

She flagged off a rally promoting awareness in favour of women empowerment. The rally had started from Bajichowk to district civil court in which District and sessions judge participated in the rally along many magistrates walked with volunteers and participants in the rally.

The rally was conducted by District Legal services authority. Later she and magistrates witnessed a street play jointly organised by DLSA and ISWO organisation.

The street play spread message about a protest against women trafficking and stop girl child trafficking, female foeticide.

DLSA secretary Sangita Pany conducted the rally. Municipality chairman Sudhansu Dalei, ADJ and social activists participated.
