The ‘Clean Water, Clean Mind’ Phase 2 under ‘Project Amrit’ was inaugurated at Chhath Ghat of River Yamuna near the ITO Bridge organised by the Nirankari Charitable Foundation on Sunday.
The programme organised across 27 states and UTs on a large scale witnessed participation of over 11 lakh volunteers. It envisages water conservation.
Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji of the Nirankari Mission highlighted the importance of water in everyone’s life and said it was like nectar. Water is the basic need of our life. It is our duty to take care of this clean and beautiful creation that God has given us.
The social wing of the Sant Nirankari Mission organised the project Amrit with inspiration from their former chief leader Baba Hardev Singh.
This year, the project took the form of public awareness through the basic message of ‘Aao Swaare, Yamuna Kinare’.
On the occasion, officials of the organisation, distinguished guests and thousands of volunteers and members took part in the noble cause.
