Narrow escape for 150 as Delhi hotel catches fire

Over 150 people had a narrow escape in New Delhi, when the hotel, in which they stayed caught in a fire in the morning. The incident took place at the Ginger Hotel in Kakardooma where no casualty is reported.

According to information, the fire broke out inside the kitchen of the hotel which started spreading and reached the third floor forcing the people to come out of it.

Apart from safely rescuing the people, the authorities have engaged 55 fire tenders immediately after the receipt of the complaint and the situation was brought under control.

The pople have registered a a case regarding at the Vivek Vihar police station and investigation is going on.

The source of the incident has yet to be asceretained. A passer by was learnt to have seen the smoke from a window who informed it to the hotel staff. The Goldmine Banquet Hall remains partially ravaged in the second floor.

A section hotel guests maintained that the hotel staff lacked minimum training on crisis management and they had to remain helpless.
