The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) under the AAP government has released Rs 12.50 crore for the installation of benches in different wards.

Rs 5 lakh has been given to each ward for the benches. This amount can be used for installing benches in parks besides corporation schools, zonal office buildings, community halls, health centres and any other property managed by the MCD in the wards.

MCD Mayor Shelly Oberoi said on the instructions of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, an initiative has been taken to spruce up Delhi’s parks. The benches are being installed in the wards for the convenience of the public.

Apart from these, benches can also be installed in corporation schools, zonal office buildings, community halls, health centres, etc. from this fund if needed.

The AAP Government of the MCD is constantly trying to provide every possible facility to the citizens so that all the facilities of the corporation can reach the citizens. Installing benches in parks will provide a lot of convenience to the citizens visiting there. Along with roaming in the parks, citizens will be able to sit on these benches and enjoy nature and the environment of the park.
