Both the leaders entered the Ramjanmabhoomi complex from Gate No 11, sources said, adding that they will also offer prayers at Hanumangarhi temple.

The AAP leaders landed at Maharishi Valmiki Airport by a special aircraft earlier in the day. They will be returning to Delhi Monday evening.

In a post on ‘X’, Kejriwal said, “Visited Ayodhya with my family. I had the privilege of having the divine darshan of Ramlala in the Ram temple. Bhagwant ji and his family were also present on this occasion.

“We had darshan of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, and prayed for the progress of the country and the welfare of all humanity. May Shri Ramchandra bless everyone. Jai Shri Ram!,” he said.

The national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was invited for the January 22 Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla at the newly built temple, but he had said he wanted to visit it later with his family.
