Fervour marks Spl assembly on I-Day at Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan

A special assembly was organised by Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan to commemorate 76 years of India’s Independence. The auditorium in which the assembly was conducted resonated with patriotic fervour and flutter of Tricolour.

Dr. Kiran Bedi, who was chief guest on the occasion, brought along her own brand of patriotism when she joined the School Choir and invited the audience to sing along with her ‘Himmat Watan Ki Humse Hain’.

The presence of the former lieutenant governor of Puducherry and founder of India Vision Foundation filled the audience with joy and jubilation. She inspired them to embrace ‘ABCD’ of freedom (Trust your Abilities, Set Boundaries, Have Consciousness and Do your Duty) for restructuring a new India.

The presentations that included self-composed poems, thought-provoking articles and soul-stirring narratives reflected upon the challenges that our nation faces and urged the youth to redeem the pledges taken at ‘the stroke of midnight’ for a futuristic India full of hope and joy.

Reminiscing the relentless efforts of countless heroes and visionaries who carved a great nation, whose strength lies in diversity and multiculturalism, Dr. Jyoti Bose, Director, Springdales Schools motivated the students to take upon their shoulders the task of building a modern India ‘where we can hold our heads high’.
