DMRC to organise online experience sharing competition for women commuters

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will organise an online experience sharing (bilingual) and a live art work competition for the women commuters to commemorate the International Women’s Day, which is celebrated every year on 8th March all over the world, an official aid on Sunday.

“The ‘online experience sharing’ link will be live on DMRC’s official website from 26th to 29th February. All the women commuters of Delhi Metro can participate in this contest through the website,” said DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal.

Dayal said all details pertaining to the competitions are also available on the website www.delhimetrorail.com and added that entries for the “online experience sharing” will be accepted till 29th February (midnight).

The DMRC spokesperson informed that the ‘live theme based art work’ competition will be organised at the Hauz Khas, Rajiv Chowk and Vishwavidyalaya metro stations on 29th February from 1500 hrs to 1600 hrs. Registration for the same has to be done, through the DMRC website from 25th to 27th February.

An online quiz on social media platform X shall also be conducted from 26th February to 1st March, 2024, the official said.

“A substantial percentage of Delhi Metro’s commuters are women who form an integral part of the system. Delhi Metro has always strived to provide a safe, comfortable and hassle-free journey to all its women commuters in the form of reserved seats in each coach and a separate women’s coach,” added Dayal.

The official said the winners of online experience sharing and live theme based art work will be selected based on the expression of thought, use of language, adherence to word limit and relevance to the theme. The winners of the X quiz shall be the first person posting the correct answer. The results of the competitions will be announced on 5th March. The selected entries will be felicitated with a certificate of appreciation and suitable prize.
