Police team with the desperate criminals nabbed in South Delhi


A police team of Malviya Nagar Police Station nabbed two desperate criminals who had become a terror in the South Delhi area by committing snatching and robbery, one after the other.

The accused have been identified as Mohammad Sonu and Saddam Khan. At their instance, 24 snatched mobile phones and a gold chain have been recovered by the police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, (South Delhi), Chandan Chaudhary said that on December 11, a complainant reported at Malviya Nagar police station that in the night of December 10, two unknown bike-borne boys, snatched his mobile phone and fled from the spot.

Accordingly, a case was registered by the police and investigation was taken up.

A police team consisting of Inspector Sanjeev Kumar and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abinandhan, Sub-Inspector Shajid Hussain, Head-Constables Amit, Yashpal, Rahul, Harish, Manoj, Constables Chetan, Akash, Kaluram, Brijesh and under the supervision of ACP Ram Sundar was formed to nab the snatchers.

CCTV footage were analysed thoroughly, and technical surveillance was mounted. Eventually on secret information, both the accused were arrested.

The police claimed to have solved around 50 snatching cases with their arrest.
