Delhi Police team visit CM Kejriwal but leave without serving a notice

Kejriwal announces street vendors survey to provide them better work conditions

A team of the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Friday evening visited Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence with a notice but left without serving it, according to sources.

The cops may have dropped in at the chief minister’s residence in connection with a probe into an allegation made by the AAP leader that BJP was trying to lure his party’s MLAs, sources said.

It is being said that the cops have also visited another AAP leader, but could not serve the notice as he was not available at his residence.

Earlier in a social media post, Kejriwal had claimed that his party’s MLAs were approached by the BJP to woo them over to their side, but the BJP immediately dismissed the allegation as baseless.

Following this development, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said, “BJP welcomes news reports telling that the Delhi Police crime branch has started inquiry into allegations of BJP luring AAP MLAs levelled by the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal & his party colleagues.”

Sachdeva informed that the Delhi BJP had filed a complaint on Tuesday (January 30) with the Delhi Police against the CM’s allegation denying that they had made such an offer to any of the AAP MLAs and demanded a police inquiry into Kejriwal’s false allegations.
